YoYo’s Saki Uchida will be presenting a Manga Creative workshop at the Leipzig-Book-Fair, the second largest book fair in Germany in March 2011. During her presentation, Saki will show how she creates the world of Vermonia using Comic Studio, the most advanced computer technology for manga and anime in Japan. The workshop will feature aspiring manga artists who will follow Saki’s expert direction in front a manga-loving audience.
If you happen to be in the neighborhood, this is a great opportunity not only to meet Saki, but also to learn how Doug, Jim, Naomi, Mel and all of their friends were designed. Don’t miss it!
We will give updates as we get closer to the date. And don’t worry, we’ll make sure to post pictures of the event.
Update: Due to the devastating earthquake in Japan, all travels were suspended. But rest assured, Saki and the team are doing fine, and other traveling opportunities will come up!
